1969

The beginning of a legacy

In Premià de Mar (Barcelona), Manuel Torres and his wife open a churro shop, giving rise to Patatas Torres. Since its inception, the company has been characterized by its commitment to an artisanal product, taking care of each phase of the production process.
1975

First edition on the stock exchange

We incorporated the sale of churro potatoes in bags to facilitate their consumption in the domestic sphere. This decision marked a turning point, as it allowed the consumer to enjoy the product anywhere and laid the foundation for our expansion.
1985

New generation and industrial expansion

The growth of the business allowed it to extend distribution locally and regionally, consolidating the presence of Patatas Torres in the Catalan market. It is at this stage when the management of the company is assumed by the couple's sons, Manolo and Juan, who decide to expand the company and move the production of potatoes to the industrial estate of Premià de Dalt, keeping the original churro shop open.
1990

A benchmark in Catalonia

We achieved a significant presence throughout Catalonia, positioning ourselves as a benchmark brand at a regional level. Fidelity to the traditional method and commitment to quality were key to consolidating ourselves in an increasingly competitive environment.
1995

New production site in Dosrius

Faced with sustained growth over time, we moved production to new facilities in Dosrius (Barcelona). This new stage allowed us to increase production capacity without renouncing our philosophy of artisanal production.
1998

First international recognition

We were recognized with the XXI International Food and Beverage Trophy in Paris, and a year later, we received the XXVII International Quality Trophy. These awards internationally certified our excellence and trajectory.
2002

We reach the general public

The strong recognition of our products, which until now have only been marketed in the Horeca channel, in the hotel and restaurant sector, facilitates the introduction of our potatoes in the large supermarkets channel.
2007

First international destination

For the first time Patatas Torres exports its emblematic artisanal bag to the Dutch market.
2011

New leadership, same vision

The García-Llagostera family acquires the company and takes over its management with the aim of promoting the brand in the international market while maintaining the standards of quality and tradition, and creating a new premium and gourmet category within the potato chip sector that did not exist until now.
2012

Launch of the select tower range

As part of the strategy to launch a gourmet potato line, the Torres Selecta range was born, which pays tribute to the best-known flavours of haute cuisine and whose first reference is 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
2013

Creation of the first potatoes with black truffle

We marked a before and after in the sector by being the first in the world to launch potato chips with dehydrated black truffle, this reference obtained the Monde Selection Gold Award that same year. This innovation boosted our international projection and positioned us as a benchmark in high-end gourmet snacks.
2016

Opening of torres potatoes in Montmeló

The great reception of our products, both nationally and internationally, made our facilities small. To respond to this growing demand, the business activity moved to new facilities in Montmeló.
2019

Launch of the veggie tower range

We are expanding our catalogue with Torres Veggies, a line of vegetable chips that invites you to discover a new dimension of flavours, combining ingredients such as sweet potato, beetroot and parsnip. A proposal designed for those who enjoy exploring varied textures and flavors in a single experience.
2020

Growth and international recognition

After important milestones and new launches, we reached a presence in more than 50 international markets. The consolidation of our export network confirmed the global acceptance of a proposal based on quality, innovation and respect for the product. We achieved an international presence in the most premium retail chains, the most recognized gourmet stores in the world and in hotels of global reference.
2022

Launch of the cover tower range

We present the Tapas range, inspired by recreating the classic and traditional flavors of Mediterranean gastronomy, especially the well-known Spanish tapas. This line was awarded with recognitions such as the International Taste Award and Great Taste, which are granted by different chefs and sommeliers on the international scene.
2025

We continue to innovate from the ground up

We reinforce our commitment to innovation by launching Torres Avocado, a proposal that responds to the new demands of the gourmet consumer, sophistication, health and authenticity, becoming the first European producer of potatoes made exclusively with 100% avocado oil. From our facilities in Montmeló, we continue to make each product with the same principles that have guided us since 1969. Today, Patatas Torres continues to be synonymous with flavour, innovation and quality.
